Summary #1
Katniss is a 16 year old who lives with her sister Prim and her mother. They live in a nation called Panem in north America. They live in District 12, nickname The seam. Katniss is the provider of the family, she brings food, money and takes care of the family. katniss father whos name is yet not mention died in a mine explosion. She and her friend gale sneak out of the District into the forest in search of food. The Hunger games are introduce. Each district must send one girl and one guy between the ages of 16-18. Prim's name is drawn and Katniss sacrifice herself for her sister.

Katniss is really strong to be able to support her whole family. Her little sister seems to act as her motivation, even though she doesn't help bring food to the table. Their mother actually seems more of a dead weight than anything. I think Katniss is pretty lucky, even under her harsh circumstances in that she was able to befriend Gale, hunt every day, and bring food to her family and keep everyone maybe not super happy, but alive.
ReplyDeleteGale is her childhood friend that always goes hunting with her and is one of the only friends she can truly trust.
ReplyDeletePeeta is the other contestant from district 12 that got chosen to play in the hunger games as well, she doesn't trust him but her resolve is weak.
The Capitol controls the 12 districts. And the Seam (district 12) is known to be the "weakest" out of all of them. The officials of district 12 seems corrupted and Haymitch Abernathy seems to be the only one to be upfront about it.
